This whole team has been amazing to me. They went above and beyond. Each one of them. Spoke with Norman most recently and he was another great team member. Really great folks.
I used Thrifty for parking and shuttle to & from the airport. I'm very satisfied with the convenience and cost. I appreciate them being open on Christmas day and running the shuttle. Thrifty saved me money and made it a breeze!
Took a long time to get our rental...over 2 hours. Then they didn't have our car reservation. They did trade our sedan to a dodge charger rt...super fun and made up for the wait...i think it is also considered a sedan but No way does it drive like one. Our return visit was excellent and couldn't have gone smoother. Immediately we were received and then the shuttle came with in 5 minutes to take us to the airport.
Do NOT rent a car from this place. I rented a car in Myrtle Beach, SC and returned it the next day in N. Charleston, SC because my car broke down. Paid $106 for the rental. Filled up the gas tank at the gas station right next to Thrifty Car Rental. Kept filling it until it clicked off. $14.59 later the tank was full. Gas was around $2.00/gal. The car averaged about 20mpg. Probably did about 130 miles total. The place I returned it to was slammed with people returning and renting. The guy takes the keys and gives me my paperwork and I was on my way. I told him the tank was full and he just said, "OK, thanks." I asked if they needed to check the car in and said, "You're good." They weren't checking any incoming cars. I watched as I waited in line. I had to park the car almost on the sidewalk when I pulled into the tiny lot because there were so many cars just sitting there when you pull in. A couple days later, I see a new charge from Thrifty for $38.41. They claim that they had to put 3.8 gallons of gas in @ $8/gal. I look at my paperwork and it says I went exactly 100 miles and the spot where it would show that I returned the car with a full tank was left blank. I guess I should have dragged someone out to check the car, but I've never had this problem at other rental places. First and last Thrifty car rental for us. So I don't know what kind of scam they are running there. I'm assuming they are filling up personal vehicles at customer's expense. These people are crooks.
Honestly one of best experiences I have had at a car rental company. After working an event out of state, our truck got a flat. We had no where to go but to rent a car. I'm in a city I don't know, I've been in the sun all day, and the two men working behind the counter were the best. Funny, helpful, and really seemed to enjoy their job. One even gave us a laugh by doing the alphabet backwards. I have never left a review on here, but this one is worth it. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes!! Thank you guys so much for your help!
