I could give them a zero if I can. The first car they gave me had stains and scratches all over. So I asked them to replace it with another one, the next one was the same. Apparently these were the only two cars available. I had to pick best of the worst / dirty cars. I would recommend getting your car from the airport or other place where there are plenty of options and they maintain their cars better. Overall, I have had a bad experience with Hertz in general and would not recommend renting from Hertz!

Nice people but horrible car service. Had to rent a car for two or three days while the car was in the shop. I took pictures of dents scratches and dirty smelly seats of the red car they gave me to use. It smelled like dog mess and I was unable to take it back because I was going to be late for work the first day. So I took it back the next day and they told me they had no other car and i would have to pay extra for the car. Then when I returned the car they stated I would receive my fifty dollar deposit back in two or three days and I have yet to receive my deposit. What a rip off. Horrible customer service.
The automated message Hertz using when calling the secondary phone number because the rental should be back, says that you, the secondary number, have the car and you should be the one to bring it back. The message to the secondary number which is used in case Hertz can't get a hold of the person who rented the car, should say, (please call "Name, and tell them the rental is due back). I got called five days in a row with as the secondary number like I was the one that rented the car. This message should be changed for second phone number. We are not the one rented anything.
