The end result was an experience none of us will forget. I/we will definitely be returning to Coastal Expeditions.

Although we had scheduled the kayak dolphin tour, the winds were too strong that day. The guide took us on a shorter oak island kayak tour instead. We thoroughly enjoyed it, though! Water was calm, and we saw lots of wildlife. Great tour for beginners!

2. Dolphins everywhere, even up close!

Coastal Expeditions transformed me from a soft, flabby landlubber into the hardened, salty kayaker I am today. Our guide Dallas taught us how to communicate with dolphins, osprey, and pelicans using the powers of our minds. Through group telepathy, we were able to keep a dolphin envoy along side us for several hours. Dallas also complimented my awesome kayak hat, which my girlfriend had been hating on since the moment I bought it. He's a good dude.

3. Our Coastal Expeditions representative, Dallas, was energetic and helpful— and even outfitted us with equipment, providing his watch for us to borrow since none of us had a timepiece.

This is my 5th outing renting Kayaks with Coastal Expeditions, but my first at the Folly Creek location. Previous experiences, which were also excellent, have been at the Shem Creek location, but this experience was above and beyond. Six of us showed up for a day of company team building, and the experience is one to be remembered.

Had a great all-around experience with Dallas our guide!!! Learned all 11 of the people's names in our group immediately. Did the 3 hour tour and loved every bit of it. His knowledge of the land, kayaking and the animal life was second to none. He made it personal for our group and could see the passion he has for his craft. Would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone!!!

1. Folly creek is much more interesting than Charleston Harbor, and the inland isolation means much calmer waters and currents, with many fewer boats and no ships.

We had a great time and enjoyed learning about the local ecosystem and even so of its history. Super nice and helpful, knowledgeable staff.

5. Everyone made it back safe, with adventure stories.

4. Despite having checked the weather and Dallas separately having verified that weather was looking good, 2 hours into the trip an enormous freak storm rolled in. Dallas went out of his way to get in touch with us and make sure that everything was ok.
