Holy cow. Not just soul food, but Soul Food. Delicious, authentic southern style meal with perfect table attendance and some of the best sweet tea I've had in years. The fried founder was like I had when I was a boy, with collars and fried okra, all cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is a little dim, but the wall of grandmas is a beautiful sight to see. For after work, they have a great beer selection, I can see myself having beer and fried okra after a long day at work. Maybe you should do the same.
Amazing food. No room for improvement in this area. The tomato pie was insanely delicious. Among the best foods I have ever had in my life.
Their fried shrimp and flounder are both fantastic... Southern style, fresh, and my favorites.
I couldn't wait to try this new place! I'd heard good things from people and I was not disappointed! They give you an entrée with a choice of "3" sides! I have enough for another meal leftover (healthy portions). We went in at 4pm (good time to go; no crowd or wait). Nice outdoor seating with shade. The food was perfect! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. I posted pics of what we had. The service was good too. The hostess was very friendly. Awesome Southern Soul food. Ps: There's plenty of parking in the back. ;)
My other complaint was the portion sizes were really small. This was basically tapas.
The quality of the food makes up for everything else though. This place could be one of the best, but is only good because of its shortcoming.
The food here is really good. I have been 3 times so far and have enjoyed every thing I have had. The fried green tomatoes are great. Vegetables are cooked southern style, but have great flavor and texture.
Service leaves a bit to be desired. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but it wasn't great. Just a bit slow and the waitress was inattentive.
Can't beat their prices for quality and quantity ☺️
P.S. Their country fried steak is off the charts good. Best I've ever had!!!
