Mary Ann helped us buy our house 2.5 years ago and to this day I get goose bumps pulling up to it. She took everything into account for us while looking and was super patient with us. She is so educated and knows Charleston like the back of her hand. The time and energy she devoted to us was truly priceless. Thank you Mary Ann, for helping us find not just a house but our home.
We were paying cash for some property. It was a tax sale and he was very uninformed about the whole process. We called and emailed 10 times for 2.5 months and there was no response. We had money in the game as a deposit, which is pretty unacceptable. We were under contract. He lied to us, told us a different closing date every month (when he would finally respond to an email) and finally, he told us that the deal flopped (not his fault) but there was no communication or condolences.
As a side note, I wish that I it was an option to give zero stars because they didn’t earn one star.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm not the person to leave a negative review but this company (and Bev Jenkins, the "real estate agent") we dealt with were the most rude and unprofessional people I've ever had the displeasure of working with.
Three months later and this real estate agency is still willing to be completely dishonest and leave their name on the contract even through they have not put more that the one hour of work "first and only meeting" into the buying of the house.
We called him and said that we are simply frustrated because of the lack of communication (in a very calm way) and he got SO defensive, cut me off, called me stupid and hung up. Who does that?!
Terrible business practice
Horrible is the only way to describe this real estate agency. When we meet with the agent, they reassured us several times during our meeting that if we wanted to change real estate agencies, just to let them know as soon as possible. So after discussing this with my wife, we decided and informed Brand Name real estate the next day (truly within 24 hours) that we wanted to go in a different direction. Then they let us know that because their name was put on the contract for the house, it’s up to the Real estate agency to agree to remove their name and they would not do so. And now, we can’t change realtors because it’s not their policy to keep their word, be honest and trustworthy and remove their name. This is a very dishonest agency and I would extremely recommend avoiding Brand Name Real Estate.
They keep calling us and asking if we want to sell our house. We have politely said no but keep getting robocalls.
Well, as expected, we closed on the house with absolutely no help from Brand Name Real Estate! But they sure were willing to leave their name on the contract and get paid for being the most dishonest and untrustworthy agency!
