Great place to visit if you’re in Downtown Charleston.
We visit here several times per year as we have family living on the same block as Waterfront Park. My wife and kids were here for the eclipse. They had our dog with them. This is a great place for pets. Killer views of the Charleston Harbor. Water taxi drop off and pick up here. Great running trail. Nice, quiet, shaded benches for reading and relaxing. Cruise ship takes out here so there is a great mix of people from all different parts of the world.
Beautiful, waterfront park with nice benches and green areas. Nice fountains (people can cool off in them on warm days, just follow the rules) and relaxing pier with swings. Parking is slightly tricky (meters, garages and some street and lot parking is zoned for residential permits only).
One of my favorite places to visit in downtown Charleston! The spring months are perfect for a little picnic with your family, especially when all the flowers are in bloom. As a child I loved getting to splash in the pineapple fountain. Be sure to get a swing if you can, they fill up very quickly!
Beautiful place. Cloudy or Sunny it’s a great place. Right by the ocean and it has a great walk way onto the bay. And you can see battle ships and ferries on the water.
Nice out of the way park that a lot of people might miss during their visit. River views, lots of seating, and some spectacular fountains make this a good place to unwind after a day of touring the city.
There was an odor when we were there that I suspect is the rotting vegetation left behind as the tide goes in and out but that’s nature. Several people were vocal about smelling it so that’s why I mentioned it
