Would really recommend to go with a group of people.
Really enjoyed visiting this house. Again, if you are a history person this is a “must see” home. To hear about all the changes this house went though over time and to top it all off it was saved by these two woman who were trying to save pieces of history.
Beautiful home, but don't waste your time or money. We went for the 4:30 tour (last for the day) and went into the dining room first and the group was so large that we were at the very back of the room and could not see most of the room or the items in it. We asked to go back into the room so that we could view the room and the furniture and items in it, but we're told no that the room was closed for the day(the house closes at 5 & it was 4:50!). Also the house is 3 stories and you could only view 2 floors. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!
Really nice historic building. Loved hearing the history of it and the story of the family!
A great Federal style building. I have lived in South Carolina for 40 years and did not know about it. A must see on your Charleston tour.
I have never seen a house without a bathroom lol. You will have to see what they used... unbelievable!
Very interesting home with a lot of history attached. We enjoyed the half hour tour and the gardens.
