The officer that attended me was really helpful. He solved the problem and directed me to the next step.
The immigration officials, on the other hand, have been universally helpful. They're not the happiest bunch of people I've ever had to deal with, but very professional and happy to clarify confusion or provide other immigration-related assistance. Bottom line - like many people in security, the guards have too much power and not enough brains - just do what you need to do to get through the screen and move on to the important task at hand.
The security guards are by far the worst part of visiting this USCIS Field Office. They have a perpetual sneer on their faces and overflowing attitude. Every single time I've been to this office (several times, since it opened) I've met with the same obnoxious rudeness.
Wow.Upon arrival a female and male security guard were talking to two Hispanic females like they were dogs. The two women were just asking for directions to their biometric appointment. Now our turn to go through the metal detector. I took everything out of my pockets and the officer asked me if I had a belt on I stated yes. No intruction was given to me so I proceeded through the metal detector. My belt set it off. The guard then with a huge attitude said I asked you if you had a belt on. I just stayed quiet. So far this place is terrible will update when finished here.... Ok so my interview was on time at 830am the interviewing officer was very professional and seemed to like his job and people. I still think its terrible the security guard's were spewing such hate. All they had to do was tell the two women to turn right and the support center would be on the left. Instead they just kept repeating the address and were very hateful.
Polite and helpful workers. The IO was very professional and nice.
Treated my husband and I like animals. The security guards were very rude to us and made me wait outside in the heat while my husband went inside then the man that was supposed to help my husband very aggressively to just go back to his country...I'm disgusted with this place
