We did a walking tour of the alleys of Charleston on 11/26. Bill Stanton was our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I rarely go for things like this unless my wife drags me along. I was fascinated for the entire 2.5 hours. If you want to see the truly hidden treasures of Charleston, run don't walk to take this tour. And ask for Bill if you can.
We had Bill for our walking tour and he made for a very informative, enjoyable experience. He took his time and we learned alot.

Booked tour for two college girlfriends and myself. We were expecting the run of the mill, fast talking and memorized speech. Wowza, were we ever wrong when we met up with Evans our tour guide. Evans was born and raised in Charleston, he had the most wonderful attitude and was full of so many historical facts and amazingly knew many of the people that lived in or had lived in the homes we viewed on the tour. We went through alleys and side streets and Evans answered all our many questions!! Being a history and antique buff I couldn't have asked for a more delightful and enriching experience. The three of us agree that our walking tour with Evans was certainly the highlight of our trip to Charleston with the exception of the shrimp and grits at SNOB!!!! Thank you ever so much!!
What a fabulous way to learn Charleston history while enjoying it's outdoors, beautiful homes, and culture.
