After eating a late lunch we headed to the Charleston City Market to see what all the hype was about. My wife and I have traveled extensively around the world and apart from bargaining, this is a classic market! We needed up buying a hand made wooden ornament to remember the special weekend getaway, as well as a hand made mug.
Love the historic charm of the downtown market. The place is filled with hand-crafted wares and local treats that some of the artisan's create right in front of you. Along with a carriage ride, this is one of the can't-miss activities in Charleston.
I absolutely loved this market! It was my first time there and I can't wait to plan another trip to Charleston! I will definitely leave myself more time to get through it, there are so many great vendors!

We really enjoyed our visit. So many vendors and so much to see, we could have spent 2 more days just walking around and enjoying all the beautiful crafts. It is definitely a must see when you are in Charleston.
Booth after booth of the same trinkets. A few semi-interesting food stalls not enough to make a visit worthwhile. Fortunately, Charleston has many attractions that are very worthwhile . Avoid this so-called market.
