I had a major misunderstanding with the company at first but after speaking with their corporate office the gentleman that helped me cleared the issue and saved my opinion of his company. He refunded my money for a boot that was placed on my vehicle after I explained to him the situation that took place, very professional and sincere when issue was investigated.
Awful. Total scam. Beware, when parking in Charleston. They're thugs.
If you are reading this then you too have been scammed. We are visiting Charleston and parked downtown in the lot on the corner of Cumberland and State Street. We paid $12.00 cash in the slot that our car was parked in. When we came back a boot was on our car. We called to have the boot removed and explained we had paid cash. When Jamar came to take the boot off he said we had to pay the $50.00. We asked him to show proof of how he thought we had not paid, a piece of paper marking the slots or something and he said he did not have it. After arguing with him a man walked by and took out $50. and gave it to Jamar and said "take the boot off her car". I went running after the man and he said this happens all of the time. I own a restaurant downtown and this effects my business. It is a scam and I am sorry it happened to you.
Paid 10 for parking came back boot on car. Jamar said 50 to get boot off and his word we had not paid. First we'd only paid 7 then just we hadn't paid enough. We paid with two tightly folded 5s. It is a scam. BBB say's they have an F rating and it happens all the time
Same thing happened to me; a company called CPM (Coastal Parking Management); showed up to my car the moment my time ran out and a collector had already booted my rear tire; he was waiting behind a bush and came over asking for $35 on credit card! Way to go Charlesron City Commisioner for allowing this to happen to tourist! This will go viral for sure!
