The wonderful lady at the front other reviews have mentioned has been replaced by an older man whose greatest strength is not exactly customer service or authority. My dress did not appear to be stained when i dropped it off but did need to be cleaned. When i picked it up however it was suttly stained. Considering i paid over $16 to wash this very small cocktail dress (it has beads so i understand the price) i would expect to get some kind of discount, but no. I didnt want to make a fuss, so i just asked "they werent able to get this out?" Hoping for an explanation or discount since clearly i was unsatisfied, the only response i received was "i guess not." I'm not saying not to go here, because i cant tell you any place better. Just know not to expect 5 star service and quality.
The second time they failed to return my suits in time, AND they lost a shirt. They told me they'd look into the shirt, but a month went by, and I'd heard nothing, so I stopped back in. I got the same, "I'll tell the manager, and she'll look into it."
Incompetence is the keyword here.
The place is across the street from my house, but even I won't use them again. I just wish I could get back all the time and money they've cost me.
I've used Lyerly's twice: the first time they lost my suit. The man at the counter couldn't figure out what had happened. I ended up calling around to other locations and discovered it'd been delivered to the wrong store.
Nancy is a pleasure to visit! I love bringing my clothes to this location just to spend time with her. Not only is the customer service great, the clothes always come back fresh and clean!
Being one who wears a suit 6 days out of the week, one can imagine my need for a quality drycleaner. I initially chose Lyerly's Cleaners on Sam Rittenberg out of convenience as I pass it a minimum of two times per day. For the last year I been extremely satified by the service. On several occasions I have considered the "Lyerly's 2 Go" pick-up and drop-off service, but my fiance and I enjoy seeing Nancy (the face of Lyerly's to us), so much that it is worth our time to stop by the store.
