This store was recommended to me. Trisha took wonderful care of my pearl necklace that needed to be re-strung. They will also pay for 30 minutes of parking in the lot behind their store.
My fiancé and I have chosen Croghan's for all of our major life events. My ring was custom made by Croghan's and is stunning. We have ordered my bridesmaid gifts from here. We have even registered here, as well. Other than that, we have had nothing but negative experiences. My fiancé's order for my ring was lost due to a case of "baby brain" and our parents did not get to see our engagement because of this. We were never notified the bridesmaid gifts had even been placed. The registry items we chose were never loaded into our registry. Croghan's is a beautiful family owned store with exquisite jewelry, but they are almost impossible to depend on. I will not be shopping for anything requiring any ordering or timeframe from them any longer.
The customer service is unparalleled. Ask for Sam and she will take Great care of any of your jewelry needs. The owners are so lovely to work with. Trunk shows are extra fun. Never leave without checking out the sales case and the vintage case!
I wanted a silver cup to engrave for my grandsons birth celebration. Shay at Croghans was very helpful at showing their selection. However a key was I needed to receive the cup in time to engrave it prior to the celebration. I was willing to pay for expedited shipping. She assured me they used two day shipping. The cup didn't arrive when expected, the sense I got when I called to check was oh, well it will show up. The cup arrived last night more than seven days after my order and too late for the engraver to do their work. In short, pre-sale attention was great and rapidly deteriorated from there. They may be great in person but shouldn't be proud of "we ship every day", a one time event was missed.
