Customer service from the manager, Shandra E. Record, was poor to say the least. I went in to return a Window A/C unit that I had for only three weeks and did not need anymore when I was confronted by the manager. Her exact words were, "You expect me to accept a window unit that you have been using for a month..." She told her sales employee to check and make sure it was clean and everything was in the box, which it was because I took the time to make sure I kept everything in perfect clean condition. After the employee told her it was all there she told her to check for mold, which there was none. Following that she said to me, "For future reference, I don't have to accept any returns on items like this. It is up to my discretion, and none of my employees should have told you it was ok to return this." Clearly on the back of the receipt it says that there is a 90 day customer satisfaction return policy. Lowes needs to reevaluate who they are hiring as a manager in a customer service role.
Will never return to home depot after today. Jeff in the flooring department is the absolute best. Knew his stuff, didn't hesitate and got me exactly what I needed. Give Jeff in the flooring department a raise. I'm a loyal Lowe's customer for life.
I ordered almost $3900 of composite, lumber and hardware a couple of weeks ago. Went to pick it up tonight and waited over an hour, AFTER leaving the customer service desk, for someone to bring the order to the front of the store. The lumber was on a lumber cart about 50 yards back, picked and ready to go when we arrived at the store. They just couldn't seem to get anyone to push it up front for us to load in our trailer. We never saw the composite boards. They were in the back of the store and should have been ready to go. After waiting an hour and during that time being asked by three other employees if we needed help then disappearing, we went to the service desk and got a refund. Just as the refund was complete, the lumber made it to the front of the store. Composite boards still not any where to be seen. Will be calling store manager and regional manager and most likely Home Depot. Gave one star, because zero stats is not an option.
Chad in plumbing helped me hook my new dishwasher to my pex supply line with as few fittings as possible (with a swivel). He's a helpful guy.
Customer service from the manager Melissa is lacking to say the least. Can't price match on something that is very clearly the exact same product at Target for half the price. She didn't even address me and walked off while saying no to the associate attending to me. Instead I took my $100 purchase elsewhere. I used to work at Lowes some years ago and the culture and attitude toward customers was much better. Not sure where it went wrong or it's just this store.
