The food comes out quickly, is decently priced, and always good. The staff are friendly and some even know me by name--a nice feeling when you buy food from a small place every week or two.
In town for business, stayed nearby and walked in on a Monday night. Grilled Cheese (cheddar), tomato soup. Hit the spot. Good for a quick comfort food bite.
Love this place so much. The staff is great and the food is too. The iced coffee is the best in town. Third Thursday date night is 2 sandwiches 2 sides 2 drinks and a custard for 20 bucks - A STEAL.
This is a funny hole-in-the-wall place that seems like it was made for college students (the backside of the store is a laundromat). The food is excellent--I recommend the greek or the zucchini melt. The grilled cheese is a classic, but a little too greasy for me. Also, you haven't lived until you've tasted the basil limeade. It is refreshing and addicting.
Oh if Persimmon isn't one of the hippest spots for lunch downtown, I don't know what is. :) I'm a huge fan of their pasta salad, adult grilled cheese, different lemonades, their custards, and cookies! (A lot, I know... it's all so good!)
Don’t be off put by it being in a laundromat. Really excellent food. Lots of options and good custard.
