BEST coconut milk latte I've ever had in my life. Home fries, portobello mushroom bacon and the "BLT" are just a few of my favorites. If you've just gone veggie and are having second thoughts, try their hemp sausage biscuit with pepper jelly - you won't regret it.
The folks are super friendly, the food is invariably delicious, everything is very appealing and clean (even the bathroom). Compared to everything else downtown the food is downright affordable.
Nope, nothing to complain about here! We eat here several times a month, often every Sunday.
I love that I can come in here and just take the whole menu at face value, don't have to specify vegan cheese or leave off the cheese and bacon, and I don't have to question if there's butter or cream or eggs in anything.
They deliver! It makes me so happy to have delicious vegan food show up at my doorstep when I don't have it in me to cook for myself.
My father and I are omnivores with diverse tastes, so when we were told to try Gnome by a pair of helpful locals we were open minded but unsure what to suspect. Gnome definitely delivered. Gnome was home to the most unique meal of grits we tried this trip and they were delightfully delicious. The tofu and portabella bacon added substance and protein, and the kale was delectably seasoned and tender. The breakfast burrito was another refreshing choice as it included some of the most unique menu items for breakfast and shaped it into a wonderfully tasty and hearty meal. The coffee was a well brewed complement to the food we enjoyed. Would recommend to anyone looking for good and creative food that is home made and healthy.
Absolutely the best restaurant in Charleston. Best vegan food I’ve had here, I’ve brought non vegans here and they enjoy the food just as much. They turned me into a forever customer, what’s better than the delicious food is the impeccable staff and owner. They’re all sweet smiling knowledgeable and make you feel welcomed EVERY visit. This is a must see must eat restaurant indefinitely
I absolutely LOVE Gnome Café. It is vegan/vegetarian friendly (all plant-based) for breakfast and lunch with a light, inviting atmosphere and kind, compassionate staff. I took my BF there (into eating meat) and he loved it! They have something for everyone.
Went here everyday while we stayed in mt. Pleasant. Delicious food. I miss it all the time. Honestly thinking about planning another trip just so I can eat here again
