Do NOT use PODs ANYWHERE! Especially if you are in the military. My wife had signed up with them before serving in Germany and paid their over-inflated prices for over 7 years. When we returned to the states, we notified PODs that we would be in South Carolina to unload her POD and close out the account. We booked flights, rented a truck and when we arrived, they had AN EMPTY POD sat out for her. We called customer service who got the local manager on the phone. He said that he was sorry for the inconvenience but it would take several hours to get our POD out of storage. We said we'd be happy to wait. (It was Saturday) He said that he wouldn't do anything until Tuesday. (We had come down on a 3 day weekend.) Then he stopped talking to us. We had to return the truck (They were gracious enough to take it back) and rent a car to return home without any of the POD belongings. When we called their customer service, they said they couldn't do anything about it. She sent 3 (the third needing a signature on delivery) letters to their corporate office. The first 2 got no reply. The executive that finally called her back offered to take a small amount off of them sending the POD to us and still charge us a couple thousand to have the POD delivered. He even admitted they had made the mistake and were sorry for it. DO NOT USE THEM! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

They moved my pod from a building that is 10 min away to a building 15 min away without telling or asking me.

So far my experience with PODS has been discouraging... I praying for a better outcome! I am a new renter with PODS. I find their website is not very customer friendly- can't make changes before confirming.. when my 2nd pod came the driver acted like it was just impossible to turn it around with pod door facing house-the way I know it was on my reservation but somehow had it changed when he got to the house

PODS damaged my brand new roof on my house. They were very responsive, but once I got the quote from the builder to replace the metal roof section for $1000, PODS offered me $150. Of course, when I balked at this number and gave even more pictures and evidence, they increased their offer to $500. Since that still only covered half the replacement, I am now having to go thru small claims to recover the damage. Including time off of work, court fees, etc. I have a fleet of vehicles and we are in peoples yards and homes every day. when we damage something, as does happen from time to time, we immediately rectify the situation to the customer no matter the cost as we value our customers. Use PODS at your discretion, but do your research first before hand and hopefully this wont happen to you.
