Perfect location, great place! Would definitely love to return here.
Very nice facility. Full kitchen in the room, hot breakfast downstairs daily which gives a fast start to the day, light supper through Thursday night (as mid day should be the big meal anyway).
The staff was particularly friendly and helpful. From the General Manager, a very gracious and professional woman, through numerous departments of folks we received, not just smiles and hellos, but friendly and helpful conversations. The experience is what I felt was genuine hospitality.
There is minimal on-street parking at this location, but the valet parking worked out well for us, especially since cars were located at least 2nd level up, which put us at ease during the storms.
We recently evacuated from Hurricane Irma/Florida for 3 days. We had our children and both sets of grandparents with us for a total of eight people. We had two standard double bed suites and these were very accommodating for our party. There is a door to separate the bedroom and bathroom area from the living/kitchen area, and both had TVs, providing plenty of room for relaxation.
Good modern hotel with kitchens in the room. Breakfast is a little crowded and the plumbing seems loud. The location is at the very north end of historic district, so it's walkable to parts of King Street, but not the harbor or the market.
Here for conference, wanted something more modern, but close enough. It has been a very nice stay with Vincent and the other staff looking after us. The food was good, ample and available. The Thursday night social was upbeat and generous. The have no control over the air from the N Charleston paper mill or the construction noise across the street. We would come back again.
We weren't looking for a fancy hotel with room service or its own restaurant, but sitting downstairs by the fireplace at breakfast or at the bar in the evening, you could forget you weren't in a fancier hotel. We were extremely pleased with our accommodations, and with the way we were treated during our stay. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend this suite-style hotel for families.
Immaculately clean. Bed and pillows fantastic, slept well from the first night. Valet parking. A small flaw in the room was immediately repaired.
The kitchens had a regular apartment size refrigerator/freezer, a small cook top, microwave, and even a dishwasher. There were adequate dishes and cookware. Beds and furniture were quite comfortable, and decor was beautiful and modern. Everything seemed brand new and very clean.
Breakfast was served daily in the first floor dining area, as well as a complimentary evening reception which included wine/beer/iced tea and a selection of soup, salad, and chips/dips. The hotel got busy while we were there, with many stressed evacuees from other states, but the staff was wonderful and attentive, from the front desk, to the room attendants, to the food service workers... Everyone was extremely polite and aimed to please.
Ideally located to catch the free bus system that takes you close to almost anything that there is to see here in the historic and shopping district of Charleston SC. Never got the car out of valet parking as our interest was just the peninsula.
Friendly staff who are willing to go above and beyond. Good breakfast. Comfortable, clean and cozy rooms. Conveniently located - we walked majority of the time. Will definitely go back.
