Jennifer was amazing! She made me feel so relaxed as she gave me a total transformation! Great color and I have had so many compliments on the style. So happy I chose gibson hair salon.
I had an awesome experience at Gibson on Princess. Jennifer was phenomenal. She is super kind and generous of her time. She made me feel like a million bucks. Very good with color and cut. And I can't think of the front desk coordinator's name but he is absolutely perfect for the salon. He's everything you want. He's attentive, engaged, super sweet and hospitable. I loved talking to him. And he gave me a hug when I left which really made me feel great. It really made my day so much sweeter. And last, the Kevin Murphy products are amazing. I bought shampoo, a clarifying shampoo (Jenny suggested I use once per week because I have well water), conditioner, a smoothing cream and a curl cream. I have to say that it's the best products I have used in a long time. I am never super thrilled with hair products but these are definitely much different. I am so glad I found this salon.
Went in just for a hair consult and to schedule an appointment another day and the girl immediately sits me down and starts brushing out my naturally curly hair to my surprise and horror. I went in to discuss a Keratin treatment so for the girl to ruin my hair for the rest of the day right of the back was not very reassuring. The price online also said $250+ so I asked her about a definite price and at first she told me she couldn't give me one... and then she said it would be a minimum of $300 for my short, fine hair. I'm not sure if they just gave me the youngest hair washing girl because I'm a college student, but I've been receiving Keratin treatments for over six years and have never been told so much misinformation about the treatment or have been made to pay ATLEAST $300. Maybe with tip. I found another great salon in Charleston who were very professional that have an incredible staff and a flat rate of $200. Curly girls beware.
I tried Gibson salon because it is close to my house. The facility and staff are quite nice. However, I do not recommend Gibson if you have naturally curly hair. In my experience (and I have tried everything) the best way to cut my curly 3B hair is a dry cut which I mentioned to my stylist when I arrived. She wet cut my hair and used a slide which is the worst possible thing to do for curly hair - it makes curls tangle, frizz, and have scraggly, thin ends. After a few months of terrible hair days I drove to Atlanta to get it fixed. Not recommended for curly girls.
Jerri did and incredible job on my hair!!! She took it from deep brown to a pastel pink and I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a good cut, color, or style Jerri is definitely your girl!! Book her while she's still available! You won't regret it. This is the best treatment I've had from a salon stylist in years!
