My overall experience with Jazzy Stylez of Charleston was extremely disappointing! This business provides high priced unprofessionalism with hair damage!
On Monday January 2nd at 9:30 am, I had an appointment for medium sized Senegalese twists. My appointment unnecessarily took 19 HOURS (started at 10 am Monday 2/2/17 and finished at 5 am on Tuesday 2/3/17). The stylist had random male visitors which were a distraction to her and did not allow her to diligently continue to style my hair. Then the stylist ran out of hair TWICE during my appointment, even though on Tuesday Dec 31st I had a consultation in which I was told to buy 7 packs of hair with 2 additional packs just to be safe. Yet, around 8:15 pm on Monday Jan 2nd, the stylist told me to purchase 3 more packs to finish my hair! Then, she ran out of hair again around 2 am on Tuesday Jan 3rd but asked me to come back on Wednesday Jan 4th due to having another appointment! This was absolutely unacceptable because I had already been there for 16 hours!!! The stylist stated her apologies and offered suggestions of how to hide my unfinished hair, but I had to ask her to find additional hair to fix this extreme inconvenience! And NEVER at any time during this dreadful experience was I even offered any compensation such as a reduced bill or discount on a future style.
Lesson learned: Save your money and your hair, DO NOT BOOK THEM!!!
Went in this morning to get my hair fixed and the stylist was late. When she finally arrived, she had an attitude, began arguing with me about not bringing my hair, and talking on the phone while she prepared. This was my first visit. She hadn’t told me I needed to bring my hair or anything about the process. I should stress that this information was not posted on the website, there was no follow up, and they present themselves as a full scale salon. I was upset by how I was treated and will never go back. Left a 30 dollar tip for their terrible service and no refund policy for making the appointment.
My family and I really loved our experience at Jazzy Stylez the stylists were on time my services were not rushed our hair was washed really good and twisted our roots were moisturize really well and we will return in the future to Jazzy Stylez for our future appointments thanks again
To my horror one month later, my hair fell out around my edges (entire twists came off my scalp) and in the middle of my head my hair completely broke off when I removed the twists. I requested a refund because I repeatedly and explicitly stated how I was very concerned about maintaining the health of my shoulder length hair. However, the owner's response was that no compensation would be granted - but that we should set up a meeting to discuss my hair concerns.
