Really wanted to eat here! We were seated and waited 15 minutes until I went in and asked for our waitperson. Meanwhile, a party of 2 was sat right next to us. We watched them get their water, then their cocktails and then their food. Still no water, cocktails or waitperson. Then a gal came out and said she would take good care of us.
Walked out as seriously, half an hour and no one to even take our drink order.
Freezing cold as the staff left the doors open on a cold winter night. My husband had to ask them to close it but it was still freezing. We were the only patrons dining at a table and there were a few stragglers at the bar. The food reminded me of cheapy street food. The prosciutto tasted like the one I bought from Harris teeter. The paella is $40 a plate, but after trying the appetizers and small plates, I didn't waste my money on the paella.
30 minutes later we had water.
Spacious yet cozy atmosphere, warm and friendly staff, service that strikes a perfect balance between attentive yet not overbearing, delicious food and a great drink selection.

Barsa is one of a kind in Charleston, SC. They offer an array of tapas and generous portions of delicious paella. Their Happy Hour extends to both drinks as well as food and is offered 7 days a week! The inside is cozy and hosts Jazz Night on Thursday evenings. If the weather is nice, the outside area is fun and charming. I’d put Barsa in my top five choices of places to go in Charleston.
I randomly walked into this place afew night ago by myself. It was a really nice environment. Kind of semi-casual, and good food. The drink selection is on point also. The prices weren't to bad. It makes a nice, casual dinner night with your partner or loved one. I plan on coming back with my girlfriend to see how she likes it as well. I recommend it to everyone.
