Accustomed to the craft department selection at the Wal-Mart on Dorchester Road in Summerville, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive variety of craft supply offerings at this still new Wal-Mart. Additionally, this West Ashley store has pleasant staff members and is better maintained overall than either the Summerville North Main Street Wal-Mart or North Charleston on Rivers Avenue. ("location, location, location...")

Only if Sam Walton was still alive, this kind of customer service would never happen---DO NOT SHOP AT THIS WAL-MART UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO WASTE.

If I could give this store a negative number of stars, I would. Please, save yourself the time and frustration and either go to another Wal-Mart (there's one in North Charleston) or pay the extra few dollars and go to Publix.

I was put on hold for 10 minutes, the operator did check back every 2 minutes, but still nobody comes to the phone; Finally the operator said she will get the manager on the phone, another 3 more minutes went by, the phone got disconnected.

It's hard to put into words how much of a hassle shopping at this Wal-Mart is. Don't get me wrong - I'm usually a fan of Wal-Mart, but the the way this store is managed should be used as a textbook example for managerial incompetence. Even during the busiest times, only 5 out of the 20-or-so registers will be open -- even when all the registers are 7 shoppers deep. The service is maddeningly slow, and I've never felt so much like I was inconveniencing the cashier just by being in his or her lane. For a trip that takes 20 minutes to pick up all I need, I end up waiting 45 minutes to check out (this is _not_ hyperbole), and I haven't seen a single time that the self-checkout was open.

On Saturday 06/22/2013 I place a call into this Wal-mart inquiry about an oil change.

Worst customer service/instock ever!!! I went in to exchange a Coleman air mattress that was defective. The customer service lady said that I could grab one off the shelf because I didn't have my receipt to exchange it. I walked back to the sporting goods area where the air mattresses are and they didn't have any instock. So I looked for a beauty rest air mattress and was willing to pay the difference. Yet again, nothing instock. After asking for a manager and waiting for 10 min., an Asst. Mgr. Helen came up to help me. We walked back to where the air mattresses were and she scanned the tag with her scanner. She told me that there was one onhand and will find it in the back, and meet me back at the service desk. After 30 min of waiting, I ask the customer service manager where Asst. Mgr. Helen was, and she told me that she had gone home. Apparently customer service, and that satisfaction guranteed isn't their top priority at this Walmart. I will never shop here again! And don't recommend you do either, unless of course you don't mind getting treated with unprofessionalism.

The only negative to be mentioned would be the dry, crusted milk that is usually on the gallon milk containers. When opening the dairy case door, the odor of sour milk should not be present-in any grocery store. All types of food to be sold should be presented to the consumer as clean and fresh. After all, we will be placing the food into our mouths. A consumer should not have choose the cleanest gallon container from the dairy case nor need to rinse the gallon of milk before placing it into their refrigerator. The rice milk and soy milk containers do not have this problem, neither do the flavored creamers or the Coburg milk gallons. Why is there the issue with the Great Value milk containers? High sell volume is not a valid excuse.
