This mall has lost its luster for me. I use to shop here almost every day. Now it has too many vacant stores. I've heard there is a new owner with some seriously great ideas and names coming soon. I'm crossing my fingers!
Great Mall which is saying a lot these days with most all malls not doing so well, thanks to Amazon and the new tech savvy generation shopping on-line. I prefer to see what I'm purchasing in person. This mall actually has a full basketball court with wood floors and all in the middle of it.
Went to see Santa with the grandkids like we have done for the last 12 years and Santa was not in his usual place with all the decorations throughout the mall. Santa was located in an empty store since they had a stage and bleachers in his usual spot for cheerleaders. It would have been nice to know all this before going so we could start a new tradition. Citadel mall has had the same Santa for 10 of the 12 years. My two stars are only the refection of this issue and not many if no Christmas decorations through out the mall.
It has a lot of empty shops compared to what it used to have, but there’s still plenty here. Love that there’s a Target near my house. Sesame is a good place to eat. Plenty of parking.
Citadel mall is pretty OK. But it’s clearly another dying mall that’s passed it’s heyday. It’s pretty OK though. Even though a good chunk of the mall is closed. Only a little over half of the stores seem to be open. Whole sections of it seem to have few open stores. Clearly I didn’t choose the move happening and successful mall in Charleston. But I just wanted something to eat.
