The day I entered the store to purchase my husbands shoes I was met with a kind, and professional staff. My husband got excellent quality shoes, and we went about our way. However, a problem arouse when my husband wore the shoes. Despite being assured that the shoes were slip resistant, my husband fell at work. Since this had never happened before we knew the shoes needed to be returned. The very next day I took the shoes back to Kassis brothers and was met with a very different experience than what I am used to. Upon entering I was once again greeted by a kind and professional staff. That is until I mentioned the word "return". Instantly their demeanors changed. Without skipping a beat I received a curt " We DON'T do returns" from one employee. Another, who was much kinder softened the blow by adding a "what is the situation with the shoes".

My family has been shopping there for years. They do a great job with kids and adults and have a good selection of shoes for wide feet.

I am not an unreasonable person. I understand that local stores cannot take the financial blow of high amounts of returns. However, I do not condone patron blaming, and an unwillingness of a company to understand a customers concerns. My husband needs safe shoes at work. We were very clear about this fact with Kassis Brothers from the beginning. I repeatedly made sure that the shoes could handle his work style. When he fell, it was a clear sign that they could not.

While I was offered a store credit, I was too appalled by their behavior to want to continue doing business with Kassis Brothers. I was ultimately able to return to shoes for a refund of my purchase price. Not because of professional service, but because I advocated for myself. With the way I was spoken to, I will not be returning to Kassis brothers. It is not unreasonable for a customer to return a product that does not function as advertised. Its not unreasonable for a customer to be treated with respect and understanding when they need to return said product.

I insisted my husband visit Kassis Brothers. When I managed restaurants Kassis Brothers always took care of my feet. In fact my opinion of them prior to the purchase of my husbands shoes was that Kassis Brothers was a great local business that I trusted.

In response I was met with a "well what was on the floor?" "Those shoes obviously cannot be perfect, no shoe can". True, however for a $150 dollar pair of SLIP RESISTANT shoes, I expect my husband not to slip and fall with every step he takes. I reaffirmed my purpose of receiving a return. Then Kassis brothers again informed me that they do not accept returns. They stated that they had been in business for 60 years. That they respect their patrons and in return they expect their patrons to respect their store policies. I informed Kassis brothers that I was unaware of the no return policy, since I was not informed if this policy during my purchase. The store clerk then pointed to a sign, that was high up on a wall that attested to the no return policy. Kassis Brothers proceeded to place blame on me, I proceeded to ask for a refund. The clerks spoke down to me even adding a "well SWEETHEART we cant follow you around the store with a banner about our policies". This type of banter went on for a few minutes. Me pleading for a return, and Kassis brothers responding with ill mannered quips.

I have always had a good experience here. They absolutely understand children's smo / afo shoe needs and they are always helpful. They make it very easy for parents and also give a military discount. Would recommend.

My husband is a hard working chef for a restaurant in Charleston. He works 10-12 hours a day on his feet and needs shoes that truly understand his work environment. We had been using a decent company to order his shoes. While the shoes were 100 % slip resistant, often left his feet aching.

I then let Kassis brothers know that while the shoes were comfortable the shoes were not slip resistant. Despite the fact that the shoe states it is slip resistant, my husband fell, and therefore it is a defective product. My husbands safety is liability that we are unwilling to take. I would like to therefore return the shoes.

I was referred to go to kassis brothers to finds a shoe with good support what i found was THE shoe specialists! A sales person by the name of Chris helped me find just what i needed. They were super knowledgeable about foot wear and support!! I will refer anyone to go here. They have the shoe for any occasion and purpose. Casual, dressy, and work related!

Kassis Brothers, if you are reading this please understand this, you have lost not only a customer, but also my professional recommendation. Since previously I had been referring customers to your business.
