The desserts are disgusting ! You pay for an expensive slice of cake and you anticipate something good , but not the case they use vegetable shortening or lard in the frosting. They lied to me when I asked for the ingredients. I got sick and asked for my money back and they refused. Let me also state in addition to the slice of cake I had purchased over $30 in other food. I asked nicely for the slice of cake only to be returned after discovering how bad it was and they refused. I wouldn't waste your money with them, when there are so many other good establishments that have good good and good service.
We have been to several of the locations they are all good, but this one is really nice, very clean and spacious. Lots of tables, not a ton of parking but there is an employee who helps you find a spot if they are really busy. The food is delicious, they have a large selection of sandwiches and a nice salad bar.
East Bay Deli is a local Charleston chain. They have a large selection of hot and cold sandwiches. They have great salads and a nice all-you-can-eat salad bar. And, they have some really awesome carrot cake :)
This place was mediocre in my opinion. It’s overpriced for smallish sandwiches and chips and my order came out wrong twice. If i did go back I would try the salad bar because it looked fresh but I’m probably not going back because I’m not convinced... they don’t even shred their lettuce! I guess that’s the problem being from nyc.. my deli standards are too high.
This visit: The food was good and came to the table quickly. We all ordered BLTs and we're not disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful as always.
I eat at this location often and I've never been disappointed by the food. My only issue with this location is the lack of parking. They always have a busy work week lunch and parking is quite the challenge.
Love the food at East Bay Deli. Eat here often. The one thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the cleanliness. I usually have to clean a table to sit down before I eat. It wasn't always like this but it has been lately. I don't mind cleaning the table but when I look around and all the tables are dirty, just makes me feel I'm in an unclean environment. Just wish they could be more on top of cleaning the tables as people leave.
