This awesome firm has been doing my personal accounting for years. Being a small local business versus a big block entity, they provide a personal touch in returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner and treating my very challenging tax issues as a landlord with the care and skill required. I am just a small, personal, middle class account and they still took the time to sit down and comb through my entire tax history year after year to be sure that I am receiving the maximum benefit from their services. Their staff always contacts me with follow up questions so I know that they are doing their job and not just slapping together my tax return (like I could do on my own).
Have had an awful experience with them. Previously used an accounting firm that merged with them so this is my first year. Try as I might, I cannot get anyone there to actually call and speak with me. All e-mail. They expect you have a printer, a multipage scanner, and a never ending supply of paper. They increased their billing without telling me and when I asked why, I never received a reply. When I asked for confirmation of receipt of my forms, I never received a reply. When I asked for confirmation my taxes were being filed I never received a reply. When I called and asked to speak the the accountant who prepared my taxes, he was too busy. I never received a call back. They will not be receiving any further business.
